I would like to start off by saying that I am not a Sarah Palin fan. Nor am I one of her zealous antagonists. Still, most Americans are not getting the recommended dosage of both sides of the story, so I want to do a little information balancing.
There has been a lot of buzz about Sarah Palin running for president. Yes she formed a PAC and yes she stepped down from her governorship. The Democratic response? Well according to a number of Democratic Strategists, “Caribou Barbie” cannot quit and run for president: she only has two years of experience.
Didn’t we just elect a junior senator of two years from Illinois? Didn’t the millions of people in the Obama cult worship a man with no experience? A man who can’t even see Russia from his house?
Next is the attack on Mark Sanford. This one is especially interesting, because the Democrats seem both amused and appalled at his infidelity. Yes he had an affair, and yes he tearfully admitted it. That is a classy move compared to Clinton, who lied under oath about his. Or John Edwards of North Carolina, who cheated on his wife (the one suffering from terminal breast cancer). Or Kwame Kilpatrick… but we won’t even get into that one. And in one last attempt to justify the unjustifiable: Argentina does have a very nice gene pool.
As I’m sure the media has already told you: the Republicans are the hypocrites because they are the party of “family values.” However, making the GOP the party of morality (and consequently labeling the Democrats as the hedonistic party of post-morality) should not give the democrats an excuse to commit whatever crime they want (Note: William Jefferson who laundered $80,000 in his freezer). Acting ethically is not a partisan issue.
Remember: Mark Steyn is filling in for Rush Limbaugh today!
